Previously, I founded the role of Event Specialist for Ohio University's Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. Experience in this area spanned event planning, vendor selection, contract negotiation, catering, set-up, coordination, budgeting, invoicing, and event evaluation to improve future performance. As a member of the Association of Collegiate Conference Event Directors-International, I was featured in the national publication, nominated for multiple awards, and presented "From ground breaking to ribbon cutting; And everything in between" at their 2016 International Conference. The latter was based on my experience with the opening of two new campuses, just one year apart.

Beyond my practiced skills, I believe in delivering superior customer service, and highly value the concept of teamwork. These core beliefs developed along my exciting journey. After graduating from Marietta College with a BA in Organizational Communication, I began as an Event Coordinator at Tall Timbers Event Center in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. After two years of practical application of my skills, I joined Ohio University Catering.

At Ohio University, I was a volunteer with the Women's Mentor Program, International Women's Day, the American Association of University Women, and Ohio University's Annual Women's Conference planning committee. I am honored to have been a member of the founding cohort for Women Leading OHIO, a selective program that provided job-shadowing, mentoring, leadership development, diversity and inclusion for greater intercultural knowledge, an internship, and networking with leaders across campus. I am also served a two year term on the Ohio Alumni Board for Chi Omega, and will sit on the committee for the state conference in 2019.

I’m excited to see where my career path will lead me. My ultimate goal is to know that I’ve accomplished something great at the end of the day.
